6th Grade Families

Hello 6th Grade Families!

We hope you all had a safe and healthy summer!! This year will be unprecedented and we will definitely be doing things a little differently. I have included a list below of all of the usual 6th grade events. It is highly likely that some of these events may not happen. 

Myself (Mavis Robinson) and Lynne Bruskin have volunteered to chair this year’s 6th Grade Committee. We plan to send a sign up genius out soon for committee heads and committee members to help for the specific events. Please be aware that things can and likely will change as the school year progresses. We will likely include all of the events, although, we think some may not happen. A calendar of events (based on a previous years) is attached.  A review of our current status below.

  1. Budget. We will request a current status of our budget from the PTO.

  2. Fundraising. To be discussed after committee head sign up.

  3. T-Shirts. Design will be determined later in the school year

  4. Snowball Dance. Date, TBT. Depends on COVID status and ASD determinations.

  5. Soccer Tournament.  Date, TBT. Depends on COVID status and ASD determinations.

  6. Class Trip. Funplex, Date, TBT. Depends on COVID status and ASD determinations.

  7. Closing Ceremony. Depends on COVID status and ASD determinations.

  8. Garden Reception. Depends on COVID status and ASD determinations.

  9. Class Picnic.  Alverthorpe. Depends on COVID status and ASD determinations.

  10. Class gift. Will be determined later in the school year.

  11. Student gift. In previous years, calculators were given in preparation for 7th grade.
